Aelle Magazine

The project: Aelle Hip Hop Magazine was the first and most important source of news about rap and Hip Hop culture in the 1990s in Italy. Created by me in 1991 I was its editor, designer, journalist, a bit of everything.
After more than 30 since the first printed issue and 20 since the cessation of publication, I have once again published a site where I can collect the best articles made in the ten years of the magazine's life but also publish a new series of video interviews that I have resumed making as of 2023 and which are also posted on YouTube.

E-Commerce: to Aelle's site I have included an e-commerce based on the Ecwid platform that has a unique feature, in fact you can embed the store anywhere from a WordPress site (even several sites at once) to social networks. Aelle Store sells merch and clothing not only from Aelle but also lines for Japan and train lovers. Visit the site to explore the store as well.

Visual identity: I made a few minor tweaks to the original logo, designed in the 1990s by Sauro Antimi, which is still perfectly relevant, placing it inside a square, a format more suitable for today, and also creating a vertical version, also used on the website and merchandising. A color palette limited to a lobster orange, black and two beige shades now characterizes the brand, as well as almost all my designs (little quirks of us designers).
